The 15th annual Port Credit Blues and Jazz Festival; Southside Shuffle took place this past weekend at Mississauga’s Port Credit Memorial Park! This three day festival consisted of four stages, over 150 Canadian and International acts, a food court, a beer garden and a vendor village. The main stage held performances by Wild T and the Spirit, Sab and the Family Band, Robin Banks, Mitch Ryder and his Detroit Wheels and so many others!
Both our Institute and Metalworks Production Group were a part of the entire event with instructor Joe Natale on site as technical director for his tenth year. Our current students, graduates and brand new September 2013 Live Production students were given the opportunity to be involved in five days of hands on experience. Southside Shuffle is one of Ontario’s top 100 festivals. Students and graduates had the opportunity to assist with everything from load in and stage set up to stage lighting and audio.
