Student News: Acoustic Cafe
Our South Auditorium was the place to be June 5th 2013 for the third Acoustic Café, a student-run event! This is a great opportunity for local musicians to come together and perform an acoustic set and showcase their original material. Everything from set up to tear down including sound, lighting and stage set ups are all managed by the live students from our Institute. Audience members saw fantastic performances by graduates, students, instructors and local musicians! All proceeds from the event were donated to the Mississauga Food Bank and charity foundation;Friends of We Care which is “… a group of kind, caring people from all corners of the food service and hospitality industry dedicated to sending physically disabled children to specialized summer camps.” With exciting raffle prizes from companies like Guitar World to great treats from our student body favourite On-A-Bun, the night was a huge success!
