Putting on the Ritz! Mistletoe Ball & Auction: Dec, 1st 2012
On December 1st, 2012, The Ritz Carlton in Toronto hosted the annual Mistletoe Ball & Auction, aptly named Putting on the Ritz!
Metalworks Production Group and The Herbie Fund at The Hospital for Sick Children joined forces to make this year’s event a success. All proceeds from this event went to The Herbie Fund, which provides financial support enabling children from across the world to receive surgical treatment at Sick Kids. It was a festive evening filled with dancing, performances, and a remarkable silent auction!
To enhance this years’ event, Metalworks Production Group needed to minimize their gear footprint at The Ritz Carlton in order to maximize ticket sales. The technical team designed a simple yet effective truss and lighting treatment to provide stage and moving lights for entertainment. Additional décor elements were added upstage, throughout the venue, and on the dance floor to add to the evening’s celebrations.
For audio, an Adamson Metrix compact line array system was delivered to provide full coverage throughout the venue. Two large video screens framed the stage, and two IMAG cameras ensured that every seat offered an impeccable view at this sold-out event!
It was a jam-packed evening of awards, celebrities, big band music, and crooners!
