Open House Inspires Prospective Students

On Sunday, January 6th we hosted an ‘Open House’ for prospective students and guests.
Alex Andronache, Education Counsellor, delivered an informative presentation about the Institute and all that it offers. “There are no such things as stupid questions,” Andronache says, “There are only questions that need answers.” With over 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, our staff and faculty have a wealth of knowledge and ‘know-how’ to be shared with students.

Joel Martin, Admissions Counsellor, says the main focus of the Open House is for prospective students to come in and see what we offer. Sarah Konowal, Open House Manager, adds, “The experience of being in the environment brings your education to reality.”
Prospective student Ryan Innes says the Open House experience was “phenomenal.” Innes, who will be studying Professional Sound and Business and majoring in Studio Production in September, says, “I’ve been writing songs since I was about 14, and recording music for about a year. I can’t wait to learn Pro Tools inside out, and to, of course, make music!” Innes is also very excited about networking opportunities at Metalworks Institute.
Kayla Durish, Educational Outreach Manager, says one of many ways prospective students benefit from Open House events is by getting in contact with their Admissions Counsellor. “It’s important to gain as much information about the school as you can, and to see the facilities for yourself.”
