John Watt has worked in the Canadian music industry for almost 30 years as a touring sound engineer and production manager. He has been the shop manager at Metalworks Production Group for the last seven years. In his lengthy career, he has worked for several different production companies including Wall Sound, Showpro, A1 Audio, Sony Music, Universal and EMI. He is currently the House Technician at the Sound Academy, and previously worked House Sound for the Toronto rock bar The Gasworks in the 80s.
He is the production manager for The Tea Party and the sound technician for Kim Mitchell. He has toured with Alanis Morissette, Collective Soul, Ozzy Osbourne, Blue Rodeo, Our Lady Peace, and many other Canadian and international artists.
