Alumni Update: Matthew Buscarino, Audio Production & Engineering

Matthew Buscarino graduated from the Audio Production & Engineering program in 2012 and, right after graduation, he moved to New York City to start off his career in the entertainment industry.

In New York City, Matthew interned at StadiumRed, a music and entertainment company that offers a range of services from production, recording and mixing to artist management and marketing and events. At StadiumRed, Matthew worked with producers Just Blaze and Omen and engineers Ricardo Gutierrez and Ariel Borujow, who have all had platinum albums and Grammy awards. While interning, Matthew also had the opportunity to assist on a recording session with rapper Fabolous.

During this time, Matthew was also playing guitar for Canadian artist, Craig Smart, in his touring band.

After StadiumRed and working with Craig Smart, Matthew started to work with the band Rookie of the Year, playing guitar and bass on the track “Leave It All Behind”, which he co-produced with Matt Malpass. This track was released on Rookie of the Year’s latest album, Goodnight Moon Part II. Matthew is looking forward to going on a full US tour with Rookie of the Year in October where he will be playing guitar.

Matthew also holds producing credits for the track, “Believe” by City Under Siege, which he co-produced again with Matt Malpass. “Believe” has been played on MTV in the United States.

Matthew is currently in the process of moving to Atlanta where he is playing guitar and producing with Jay Foye of the Upperclassmen production team (whose credits include Lil Wayne, Beyonce, Omarion, Rick Ross and Meek Mill).
