Alumni Update: Andres Pedret, Show Production and Event Management

Originally from Venezuela, Andres Pedret graduated from the Show Production and Event Management Program at Metalworks Institute in 2008. Throughout his studies, Andres volunteered for various live events and immediately after graduating, secured freelancing opportunities working on numerous large scale concerts, corporate events, and festivals.

To date Andres has worked as either a front-of-house engineer, monitor engineer, or tour manager, with a wide variety of artists, including Jully Black, Sara Slean, Hello Beautiful, and the Esmeralda Enrique Spanish Dance Company, to name but a few.

Andres is currently working full time as the head audio technician at Mississauga’s Living Arts Centre (LAC). Andres was recently featured on the cover of Professional Sound Magazine, as part of an article about the new audio system upgrade which was installed in the LAC’s award-winning Hammerson Hall. He also works part-time as a recording and mixing engineer and producer at Toronto’s Rouge Valley Studios.
