Picture this… FREE recording time at one of North America’s premiere and elite studios!!! If you are a talented band/artist, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss - record two of your songs here at Metalworks Studios for free. There are a few requirements for those who want to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity:

1) Entrants must reside within a radius of 100km from Metalworks Institute located at 3611 Mavis Rd, Mississauga, L5C-1T7

2) You must be able to transport yourself and your equipment to Metalworks Institute, and

3) You must be able to record days or evenings.

Let us break it down for you! We will be accepting entries between May 14, 2008 and July 2, 2008. The lucky winner will have two songs recorded and mixed by the students in the Audio Production & Engineering Program at Metalworks Institute, supervised by top industry professionals. The students from the Entertainment Business Management Program will be in charge of marketing and promoting you and your songs, also supervised by top industry professionals. The winner will be selected by a student committee, notified by email and/ or phone, and their name will be posted on the Metalworks Institute website. After the project is completed, the recorded masters will be returned to the band/artist for free, for them to use in any way they wish. There’s only one more question you need to answer: “What have you got to lose?”

Submission Requirements:

Contest is open to bands or single artists who have a permanent band.
Your submission must include:

• Two songs in MP3 format
• Contact Information – Name, mailing address, email and phone number
• Biography
• Photo
• A link to your website or online profile (if applicable)
• Dates and locations of any upcoming shows (if applicable)
• Email your entry to submissions@metalworksinstitute.com

Contest is not open to employees or students of Metalworks or their immediate families.

Submitting bands or artists are not permitted to have any current or previous personal or business relationships with any Metalworks employee or participating student.

Don’t forget submissions will not be accepted before May 14, 2008 and after July 2, 2008

Winner will be announced on www.metalworksinstitute.com
