Students Visit ole
On Friday, July 17th our Entertainment Business Management and Professional Sound & Business – Studio Production Major students visited ole in Toronto as part of their Music Publishing course taught by Josh Laing. Founded in 2004 ole, “Majorly Indie” is the world’s fastest growing rights management company and presently has offices in Toronto, Nashville, New York and Los Angeles.
Our Music Publishing course introduces students to the history, functions and operations of music publishing, including copyright acquisition, songwriter contracts, performance licensing, mechanical licensing, print publishing, synchronization rights, royalty structures and methods of royalty collection.
The ole team was incredibly welcoming with a video presentation, Q&A period, overview, tour, refreshments and swag bags for our students!
