MPG Supporting The Hip on Summer Tour
Metalworks Production Group is gearing up for what should be another busy summer, with a number of concert tours and one-off events on their schedule.
Most recently, the Production Group provided support for the Tragically Hip’s five sold-out shows at Toronto’s Massey Hall, and will continue to provide sound and lighting gear and support for the signature Canadian band’s summer tour.
The Canadian Music Hall of Fame band from Kingston, Ontario is currently on tour in support of their latest Universal Music release, We Are the Same. The 2009 release, produced by Bob Rock, was recorded at The Bath House Studios in Bath, Ontario, and featured the lead single Love is a First.
The Tragically Hip have had a record eight albums debut at #1 on the Canadian Albums chart, and have won 14 Juno Awards throughout their history. In addition to being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (2005), the group also received a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame (2002), and last year received the prestigious National Arts Centre Award at the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards.
