MWI Welcomes 200 Students

This September Metalworks Institute welcomed its eleventh intake of eager students. It’s amazing to think that back in January 2005, Metalworks Institute started with just sixteen students; on September 8, 2009 it opened its doors to two hundred and thirteen!

Over the past four years the school has not only expanded with students, but with programs as well. MWI now offers one year diploma programs, two year integrated diploma programs and certificate courses for those that wish to study on a short term basis.

One of the most exciting initiatives in the last four years has been the launch of our exclusive Career Centre. The Career Centre is a tool offered to Metalworks Institute Alumni. It is full of resource tools that range from topics such as resume writing, job interview preparation, grant writing, as well as directories and links. The second part of the site links potential employers in the entertainment industry with our graduates. The premise is to link qualified graduates with industry jobs on an exclusive platform.

So what is in store for the next four years? I guess you will just have to stay in touch, we have lots planned and there is no telling what’s around the corner.
