Metalworks Launches Certificate Course Website
Metalworks Institute is pleased to announce the launch of our new Certificate website - www.metalworkseducation.com The new website allows students to enroll online as well as access their course schedules online.
Currently, we offer training and certification in Cubase, Reason, Logic and Pro Tools, and will continue to add new courses to our roster. We are the only certified Digidesign Pro School in Eastern Canada.
Whether you are a beginner wanting to learn the basics, or a professional looking to upgrade your skills, our certificate courses are equipped to offer what you need. We offer an a la carte menu of courses to provide you with the opportunity to take exactly what you need, for specific areas in the entertainment industry.
CUBASE: This course will provide students with a broad introduction to working with the basic interface and primary features of Cubase 5. During the course of this module students will be introduced to the concepts of MIDI and audio recording, tools, window configurations, editing, arrangements, user defined key commands, VST instruments and DSP effects.

LOGIC STUDIO: Our Introduction to Logic Studio course is a 20 hour course that has been developed to provide students with an understanding of the basic principles behind Logic Studio. This course focuses on Logic Pro 8, which is the foundation for Logic Studio. |
PRO TOOLS: Students will learn Pro Tools and ICON, with the ability to achieve official Pro Tools certification. Students will also have the opportunity to learn on the largest ICON system in Canada featuring an 80-fader D-Control Console and full-blown Pro Tools HD-3 Accel system. Courses are 3 days in length and provide 24-30 hours of hands on instruction. |
REASON: This course has been developed to give students a broad understanding of how to produce music with Propellerheads Reason 4 Software. The course will take students through Reason’s Instruments, Effects Devices and Mixing and Mastering tools. Students will learn and understand Reason samplers, MIDI recording and MIDI tools such as quantization and transposition and custom routing within Reason. In addition, students will learn sound design using Reason’s Combinator and creating custom patches within Reason’s native samplers. |
