MPG Produces Celtic Thunder’s PBS Television Special
A large production is an understatement for the Celtic Thunder Storm show launched on October 1 & 2, 2009 at The International Centre. The show’s producer, Sharon Browne has channeled 20 years of music industry experience, her production expertise as well as her unique vision to sculpt a new and exciting show for audiences everywhere. In Sharon’s words the inspiration for the show was “to portray the various stages in a Man’s life in a very primal atmosphere. [She] decided the set had to be vast this time, [she] didn’t want to ‘contain’ the energy, or the masculinity in a small space.” The sold out audience would have to agree that the show accomplished all of these things and Sharon’s vision was apparent in the production, music, dancers and set-design.
The show’s Executive Producer was Metalworks’ CEO, Gil Moore, who assisted Sharon in translating her vision into a phenomenal production. All of the lights and PA system were provided by Metalworks Production Group under the guidance of MPG President, Bob Spencer and Lighting Director, Simon McCauley. Celtic Thunder Storm was an all encompassing project for the two Metalworks companies as Metalworks Studios also produced the 5.1 music mixes for the Celtic Thunder Storm DVD and PBS special.
The Toronto debut at the International Centre was the kick-off to an eight week North American tour. Celtic Thunder Storm will be visiting over 25 cities throughout October and November. For ticket information and tour schedules please visit: http://celticthunder.ie/
