Faculty Profile: Vivian Barclay
Vivian Barclay has spent over 13 years in the North American music industry and currently runs the Warner Chappell Music Canada Ltd. office, having worked at the head office in Los Angeles prior to this. In her role at Warner Chappell, she works with writers as varied as Simple Plan, Jully Black and Sly & Robbie amongst others.
As a classically-trained musician, and with a BAA degree in Radio and Television Arts, Vivian brings a wealth of experience to her role at Warner Chappell. She has composed music for television commercials, and has won awards for her film sound production and digital audio editing talents. Vivian has served as a Program Director and host for CKLN FM in Toronto and has experience in artist management, publicity and promotion. She has also been responsible for programming conferences and festivals such as Northern X-posure.
Currently the VP of the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame board of directors, Vivian also sits on the boards of the Canadian Music Publishers Association (CMPA) and the Canadian Music Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA).
