Alumni Profile: Crystal Carew

Why did you come to Metalworks?
I wanted to find a way to work and make live entertainment my career. I had no history or connection to the entertainment industry, so I decided to look for a school that would give me the knowledge to get me started. Metalworks just seemed to be the right choice for what I wanted.

What motivated you to work in the music industry?
I have always loved live entertainment. I am not a musician of any kind, but I do appreciate every part of music, the art and all the hard work it takes to get there. Not being a performer myself, I figured I would work behind the scenes.

What was your time at MWI like?
My time at Metalworks Institute was an experience that I will take with me wherever I go. It was intense and a lot of hard work, but it was also a lot of fun. The hard work got me well prepared for the industry. The people I met and the connections I have made from my time at school is what made the whole experience worth it.

What has your life been like at MPG?
Life at MPG has been great. I continue to learn new things every day. The people I work with are hardworking individuals who know how to have a good time. As a part of MPG I have attended many shows and events.  Overall, I am having a great experience. MPG is a growing company with a great future and I am proud to be a part of it.
