MWI & MAC Team Up for Open Mic Night

The Mississauga Arts Council and Metalworks Institute have partnered to produce a monthly Open Mic Night in the MWI Lecture Hall. The event, hosted by singer/songwriter Mark Christiano, has proven to be very successful in spotlighting some of Mississauga’s up-and-coming talent, as well as many MWI students. The performances have featured spoken-word artists, rock bands, singer/songwriters, and instrumentalists. The event is open to the public, so any young musicians and artists are encouraged to come and showcase their talent. The next Open Mic Night will be taking place at Metalworks Institute on October 17th, 2008 at 7p.m. To reserve a spot, please call 905-615-4278.
