Guest Lecture: Aideen O'Brien
By Matt Macdonell (EBM Student)

On September the 30th, Paul Sanderson’s Entertainment Agreements & Contracts II class was fortunate to enjoy a guest lecture by Aideen O’Brien, who spoke with us regarding her vast experience and knowledge of publishing and licensing music.

Ms. O’Brien most recently served as the director of music publishing at BMG, and is also on the board of directors for the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA), and the Canadian Music Publishers Association (CMPA). Our class had the opportunity to gain some insight into a complex and often confusing aspect of the music and entertainment industry.

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Ms. O’Brien for being so generous with both her time and knowledge.
