Silent Auction Youth Fundraiser

As part of the continuing and growing relationship with The Mississauga Arts Council (MAC), Metalworks Institute partnered to host the first ever Silent Auction Youth Fundraiser. The evening was inspired by the launch of MAC’s new program, Limelight.

Limelight is Mississauga’s Association of Young Artists. The program’s mission is to connect aspiring young artists and provide them with the support, recognition and opportunities required for them to thrive in their community.

The evening began with a wine and cheese social. Gil Moore, President of Metalworks, opened the event and introduced Councilor Nando Iannica, who spoke about the importance of arts programming in Mississauga for youth. Guests included local business people, teachers and principals from the Peel Region, and local Mississauga artists. Special performances by Chris Smith and Phil Poppa made the evening a perfect start to something that will be a step forward to improving youth programming in Mississauga.

Special thanks go out to our main sponsors: Jackson Triggs, Catered Affair and Action Party Rentals. Thank you for making this all possible.
