The Mississauga Arts Council and Metalworks Institute have partnered to produce a monthly Open Mic Night in the Metalworks Institute Lecture Hall. The event, hosted by singer/songwriter Mark Christiano, has proven to be very successful in spotlighting some of Mississauga’s up-and-coming talent, as well as many Metalworks Institute students. The performances have featured spoken-word artists, rock bands, singer/songwriters, and instrumentalists. The event is open to the public, so any young musicians and artists are encouraged to come and showcase their talent. Below are some pictures from our most recent Open Mic Night, which took place on November 14th. The next Open Mic Night will be happening on December 19th, 2009 at Coopers Pub.
