Metalworks Production Group and Michelle Wright
On Friday December 12, 2008, Michelle Wright visited the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga as part of her I'm Dreaming of a Wright Christmas Tour 2008 schedule. The concert was a blend of Christmas carols and Michelle’s original material. Michelle performed some of her top ten hits such as Take It Like a Man, Guitar Talk, The Answer Is Yes, Nobody's Girl, Your Love, and I Surrender.
Upon entering the Living Arts Centre, you were immediately struck with a sense of the holidays, and at any given time you could hear the audience singing along to Christmas classics.
The tour’s production manager, Eric Bartnes, was responsible for the lighting and video displays, which added so much life to the show. Some of the production equipment used included a combination of flat screen TVs, a large video screen, Colorweb lo resolution video LED surfacers, as well as a Compulite Vector console and a Catalyst media server. With this equipment, Eric was able to take the audience on a winter wonderland journey, with constant video displays and very impressive lighting.

Metalworks Production Group has been the audio sponsor for the I'm Dreaming of a Wright Christmas Tour 2008. The VTC Line Array system is the newest Line Array system designed by Thomas Danley and manufactured under license by Toronto’s Yorkville Sound. In an interview, Eric expressed how impressed he was with the system: “We love the new PA, especially its light-weight nature. The fact that it’s Canadian designed and manufactured is important to us, especially because Canada has always been so supportive of us.”
Michelle Wright’s Christmas show also allowed the artist to talk about her work with and commitment to World Vision. Michelle was able to move, touch and inspire audience members to be proactive about the poverty epidemic in Africa. The show expressed the true essence of Christmas, and Michelle will continue to spread the cheer on the last leg of her tour.
