Busy Days and Nights at Metalworks Studios

It should come as no surprise that the summer months have been a busy time for Metalworks Studios, with a wide array of talented artists making their way to Mavis and Burnhamthorpe to work at one of Canada’s top recording facilities.

Wind Up Records artist Finger Eleven came by the studio this month to work on some new tracks, with L. Stu Young engineering the sessions, assisted by MWI Alumni Wayne Cochrane. Finger Eleven’s visit to MetalworksStudios came just prior to their upcoming fall tour of the U.S., playing alongside Three Doors Down.

Also in studio recently was illScarlett, whose debut album, All Day With It, was released through Sony/BMG in the fall of ’07. The Mississauga natives came by Metalworks Studios to record with L. Stu Young (assisted by Wayne Cochrane), prior to heading out on the road for a series of September dates, including European stops in Vienna, Munich and Berlin.

Finally, The Arkells, featuring MWI Alumni Tim Oxford, were also at Metalworks Studios recently to work on tracks from their upcoming debut release on Dine Alone Records (Alexisonfire, City & Colour, Bedouin Soundclash, Attack in Black).
