MWI Students Break the Bank for Food Bank
The Entertainment Business Management students at Metalworks Institute produced an all-acoustic live show at Mississauga’s West 50 Pourhouse & Grille on Tuesday, August 12th entitled Break the Bank, all in support of the Fort York Food Bank. The name of the show proved apropos, as the students raised more than $1,000 for the designated charity.
Hosted by MWI’s Noel Cadastre, the show featured acoustic performances by Noelle Morris, Trish Girard, Bob Charters and Metalworks students Paul Brace and Ryan Smids. Along with the outstanding musical performances, attendees could also partake in a raffle draw featuring a swath of great prizes, including CDs, studio time at Metalworks Studios, and Chudleigh’s apple blossoms.
In addition to the raffle prizes, the night also included a silent auction, where attendees could lay down bids on double dates with MWI’s Noel Cadastre or Antoinette Fabiano, not to mention a free weekend Mini Cooper rental, and a certificate for a free golf foursome at Turtle Creek Golf Club.

Congratulations to the EBM students for putting on a great show, and thanks to APE and SPM students Crystal Carew, Michael Agard, Heather Crane, Loren Naida and Nick Bertoli for their assistance in making the show a success.
