Alumni Update: Katie Morris, Entertainment Business Management and Audio Production & Engineering

Katie Morris graduated from Metalworks in 2015 with a diploma in Entertainment Business Management as well as a diploma in Audio Production & Engineering.
After graduating, Katie successfully secured an internship at Number 9 Audio Group. At the studio, she would help with session set-ups, tear-downs, CD duplications, tape transfers as well as other day to day tasks. After a few months she was hired on part time as a production assistant. Katie then continued to expand her knowledge in the business side of the industry by interning at Coalition Music and at Black Box Music. Both opportunities gave her more insight into marketing and artist development.
Currently Katie has landed a full time position at CMRRA as an online licensing administrator. Within the role some of her responsibilities include updating and matching data to works, ensuring publishing licenses are up to date, as well as accepting and processing new publishing claims to works. She is very excited about this opportunity and looks forward to growing with the CMRRA team.
