Alumni Update: Jose Thomas Blanco, Audio Production and Engineering

Since completing the Audio Production and Engineering Program in 2012, Jose Thomas Blanco has been working as an independent multimedia producer and events manager. Education has always been important to Jose, prior to his studies, Jose completed a broadcasting course as well as a journalism course. He is currently focusing on obtaining a master’s degree in Digital Media at Ryerson University and is working as a research assistant.

Jose is currently wrapped up in multiple projects. He is a research assistant for a project focused on audio editing suites and the possibility of building a platform that would allow it’s users to simultaneously work on a project in virtually any space with just a simple internet connection. His second project involves cognitive audio, sound design and human psychology. The project relies heavily on the knowledge Jose has gained throughout his various educational pursuits in connection to his studies in the Audio Production and Engineering program.
