Alumni Update: Desmond Cholod, Entertainment Business Management

Entertainment Business Management graduate (2012) Desmond Cholod (Dez) recently transitioned from intern to Promotions Coordinator with StrongSongs/DMD and Ultra Music Canada – congratulations Dez!  Working alongside Adrian Strong, the president of StrongSongs/DMD and Co-Managing Director of Ultra Music Canada, some of Dez’ responsibilities include; working closely with the majors to set up distribution, tracking artists through Mediabase On-Air and working on a service called Blended for DMD which distributes remixes and dance tracks for live-to-air and club DJ’s throughout Toronto. Dez also assists with organizing various tasks and events while also arranging and executing promotional events held by the company. Dez says his favourite part about his position is interacting with clients and artists, which has him out at shows and events throughout the city on a weekly basis!
