Alumni Update: Desmond Cholod, Entertainment Business Management
Graduated From: Entertainment Business Management Diploma (2012)
Desmond Cholod joined the team at ole Majorly Indie in 2014 with a background in the entertainment industry. An honors graduate of Metalworks Institute’s Entertainment Business Management Program, Desmond initially entered the music business with Canadian based independent promotion company DMD Entertainment. Here he held the role of Promotions Coordinator and assisted in launching the careers of artists such as The Weeknd and Calvin Harris among others.
As Registrations Coordinator at ole, Desmond is now responsible for the worldwide copyright registration of ole’s catalog and TV/Film works. He also submits registrations to the Library of Congress and works closely with ole’s Administration and Acquisitions Departments to ensure proper on-boarding of new deals.
