Alumni Update: Anthony Vidal, Audio Production and Engineering

Since graduating from the Audio Production and Engineering program (2010), Anthony has been working as a freelance engineer. He started purchasing equipment while still at school and was able to open his studio “Vidal Recordings” in March of 2011. He offers recording and production services for singers/songwriters, live bands off the floor, small groups, hip hop Mc’s, poets & motivational speakers.

His first project “Heart is Breaking” remix featured international artists Creamo (UK), Roses Gabor (UK) with local artist “Swanky”. The song was mastered at Metalworks and is available on youtube, mediafire and soundcloud. This made Anthony think about marketing more globally and using social media to promote his projects.

Anthony is a Member of the Mississauga Arts Council (MAC) and is a strong supporter of local music artists, fellow graduates and many upcoming artists in Toronto. He sponsored a MAC event “La Musique Circle” and gave the winners recording time at Vidal Recordings. Lucky Jackson, an acoustic act with guitar and kajon and a 4 piece Rock band “River Groves” were the winners. River Groves recently released their single “Don’t Go” on YouTube and Reverbnation.  Recently Anthony has also revisited his passion for singing and performing at open mics throughout the GTA!
