Alumni Update: Andrew Beg, Music Performance & Technology – Guitar Major

Andrew Beg graduated from Metalworks Institute’s Music Performance & Technology – Guitar Major Program in December of 2014. Since graduating, he has been busy developing and establishing Havens; his own unique, indie-rock project.
With this independent project, the 23-year-old Toronto-based singer, songwriter and guitarist is striving to create bright, lush and timeless guitar and lyric-based music. Daybreak is the title of his debut EP, featuring five unique and distinct songs dealing with entering adulthood in an unpredictably changing world. The EP is available on iTunes, Spotify, and most other digital retailers as of its release date on February 24th, 2017. This was also the date of Havens very first show, hosted at the Painted Lady in Toronto.
Andrew is celebrating the launch of his EP with a release party on Friday, March 31st at Toronto’s Gladstone Hotel. The evening will feature an opening set by Montreal-based folk artist, Stefanie Parnell.
